Face Pain

Face pain, or facial neuralgia, refers to discomfort in the facial region due to various causes. Trigeminal neuralgia results in sudden, excruciating jolts of pain along the trigeminal nerve’s branches, often triggered by simple activities like eating or talking. Sinusitis can lead to throbbing pain and pressure around the eyes, cheeks, and forehead. Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) causes jaw-related face pain. Facial pain can also stem from dental issues, nerve injuries, or migraines. Diagnosis involves identifying the pain’s origin and triggers, enabling tailored treatment. Options range from medications and physical therapy to dental interventions and, in severe cases, surgical procedures for relief and improved quality of life.

Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia brings sudden, searing facial pain due to the trigeminal nerve’s irritation. Simple tasks like talking or eating trigger intense, stabbing sensations, requiring targeted treatment approaches.

Post-herpetic Neuralgia

Post-herpetic neuralgia is persistent nerve pain following a shingles outbreak. It causes burning, stabbing sensations in the affected area, often requiring specialized pain management and treatment.
